HANDBELL CHOIRS
The Alpha Ringers
Wednesdays, 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

This accomplished adult bell choir (5 Octaves Schulmerich Handbells) was the first Bell Choir of Sardis. The Alpha Ringers ring at the 11:00 a.m. worship service several times a year and occasionally will play a special bell concert for other church events. New members are welcome. A moderately good music reading ability is necessary.
The Coventry Ringers
Wednesdays, 7:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

The Coventry Ringers have performed at the Belk Auditorium with the Charlotte Philharmonic for a Christmas concert. New members are welcome. A moderately good music reading ability is necessary.
Crescendo Chimes
Grades 3, 4 and 5
Sundays, 5:00 p.m. - 5:45 p.m.

Crescendo Chimes is a beginning bell choir for children in 3rd, 4th and 5th Grades. They use Choir Chimes rather than Handbells since the chimes are easier for younger children to handle. They learn basic bell technique, reading notes and rhythm, and what it means to be a part of a “team”. They rehearse weekly and are able to play at a worship service several times during the year.
Youth Bells
Grades 6 - 8
Wednesdays, 6:15 p.m. - 7:15 p.m.

The Youth Bell Choir, Middle-School aged youth, is an intermediate-level handbell choir. They perform several times a year for worship services. Moderate music reading skills are helpful but we will train as part of the rehearsal routine. Their rehearsal time is Wednesday evening, 6:15 – 7:15 PM., immediately following Wednesday Sabbath for Middle School Youth. All Middle School Youth are invited.
The Decibells
Grades 9 - 12
Sundays, 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Bell Room; Administration Building
Directors: Ken & Sharon DeBoer
The Decibells are High School aged ringers. They perform several times a year services. They are more advanced at music reading and bell technique but we will also train as part of the rehearsal routine. Moderate music reading skills are helpful. Their rehearsal time is Sunday afternoon, 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.preceding Chapel Choir. All High School Youth are invited.
