The Sanctuary Choir includes adults of diverse musical backgrounds. Requirements are a love of singing and a commitment of time each week for preparing service music. All interested singers are welcome.
The Sanctuary Choir has the principal responsibility for the choral music of the11:00 Sunday morning service from September through June. Their repertoire is traditional and diverse. Major choral works are presented during the Christmas season and in the spring.
The Sanctuary Choir has performed for community events, such as Habitat For Humanity Community Choir Concert, the Metropolitan Music Ministry, has performed several times in Carnegie Hall with John Rutter, has participated in an international choir tour including singing at St. Giles Cathedral, Edinburgh, Scotland, Canterbury Cathedral and the Great Hall of Westminster in London, and the International Church Music Festival in Bern, Switzerland. They have also recorded 2 CD’s entitled “From Age to Age the Same…the Hymns of Sardis” and “Joy to the World – The Carols of John Rutter.
