Sardis is Your Senior Link!!!
If you are retired, an empty-nester, or just downsizing your busy life, Sardis Presbyterian Church has the “Senior Link” for you.
Aging is inevitable and is the blessing of long life. There are challenges and opportunities along the way. Sardis’ Senior Link Ministry hopes to provide you with information and assistance at the level you desire. Our goal is to keep you connected to your church family and to keep you up-to-date on church activities, opportunities, and available resources.
Friendship Connection
A monthly fellowship group for retirees and older adults. Meets the 3rd Tuesday of the month in the Fellowship Hall for a program at 11:00am and in the small dining room at 12:00 for lunch. The programs have been led by a variety of speakers: theologians, artists, civic leaders and volunteers. A good place to see old friends and make new friends.
Shining Stars Adult Day Respite
Shining Stars is a non-profit adult day respite program for members of our community with early stages of Alzheimer’s. Activities include supervised projects, social interaction, and exercise designed to encourage and stimulate the participants. The service is hosted by Sardis on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. We support the program by providing lunches on Tuesdays.
The Church Bus
The church provides transportation to the 11:00 worship service on Sunday mornings for residents of Plantation Estates and for the retirement communities Carriage Club, Sharon Towers and The Cypress.
Phone Friends
Church members are paired with homebound members and serve as a phone friend. The phone friend calls the homebound member once a week to see how that individual is and to keep him-her updated on news from Sardis.
Special Worship Services and Communion*
Lessons & Carols

Holy Week Remembrance Service
* Communion is served at each of these short services. Held in the chapel, these services are offered to homebound and other members who may have difficulty attending regular worship services.
