Master fresco artist Ben Long brings to life the scripture from Mark 10:14 – “Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not; for such is the kingdom of God” on the walls of E.H. Sloop Chapel. It features children who are residents at The Crossnore School.
Founded in 1913, The Crossnore School is a private, non-profit children's home and school in the western North Carolina mountains, serving children who, for circumstances beyond their control, can no longer live at home, whether permanently or temporarily. Most residents live at Crossnore because their primary care givers are abusive or have neglected them to the point that their well being is threatened. Residents come from all counties in North Carolina. Crossnore is currently home and school to 90 children.
HELP FILL THE CROSSNORE TRUCK!
Saturday, July 19
10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Boy Scout Parking Lot

The Crossnore truck visits Sardis' Scout Hut parking lot on Saturdays several times per year.
Home furnishings, furniture, housewares and children's clothing are the school's and thrift shop's greatest needs. Crossnore has a two-ton truck, so there is room for lots of furniture; please help fill up Crossnore's truck.
If there are members who would like to donate an entire bedroom or dining room suite, or who have several pieces of large furniture but no way to haul it to the church, Crossnore will be glad to schedule a pick-up at your house the same day
Call John McCaskill at 704-366-2688 for more information.
