Hope Team Update
A few months ago, the Community Service Ministry reported that it had approved supporting the WISH (Workforce Initiative for Supportive Housing) program by sponsoring a Hope Team. WISH serves working poor families by providing them with rent subsidies, social services, and community support in the form of a Hope Team. The members of a Hope Team provide help where needed, with issues ranging from money management and employment to transportation and birthday celebrations.
These members have been assigned a family to work with and have greatly enjoyed getting to know this family! They have provided a great deal of support in the areas of transportation and back-to-school needs for the children.
Sardis is proud to participate in this service to our city’s working poor. If you would like to support this work financially or join a Hope Team, please email Peggy White or call her at 704-366-7070 for more information.
