SOCIETY OF ST. ANDREW
Will You Help Feed the Hungry This Summer?
Gleaning is the Biblical practice of hand-gathering crops left after harvest. Society of St. Andrew volunteers glean fields and orchards donated by growers and then the produce is given to local food banks, pantries, soup kitchens, shelters and distribution agencies that feed the hungry.
All food banks need more food in the summer because children are out of school and home all day.
It takes a constant supply of volunteers to meet the demand of growing seasons and harvest time. If you or a group you are involved in would like to help this summer, please call Ann Davis at 704-366-1854. This is a wonderful service opportunity especially for MSG's, Youth, and anyone who wants to help feed the hungry.
