Youth

Middle School

The Middle School Ministry, led by Catherine Craley, invites all 6th-8th grade youth into an accepting Christian community

From spending quiet time with God at Collide and playing broomball at Fellowship, to meaningful retreats for youth and their parents, we believe the Middle School years are a gift from God and essential to a young person’s faith development.

Middle School Fellowship: Sundays, 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., Fellowship Hall
Dinner Cost:  $6 (no reservations necessary)

We're kicking off Middle School Youth in 2012 on January 8 with a Fiesta!

Join us for Salsarita's and a game of Sardines.  Friends are always welcome!  Make sure to bring $6.00 for dinner

Collide is our Connect@Sardis Wednesday night program for Middle School students.  We begin at 5:30 p.m. with dinner in the Youth Room, followed by study, music and activities led by Rev. Catherine Craley and Richard Ramsey.

Our High School Ministry, led by Jason Robbins, is a place where high school students can be themselves. The ministry seeks to teach high school youth about God’s love and grace and to help each of them to experience their life of faith in a place that seeks to accept all youth.

High School students also get the opportunity to take their faith to a different level through retreats, Bible Study, and an annual mission trip.

High School Fellowship:  Sundays, 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., Fellowship Hall.
Dinner Cost:  $6 (no reservations necessary)

ROOM RAIDERS
Dear High School Parents,

For five weeks beginning January 15, High School Fellowship we will be diving into a new series called "Room Raiders." This series is a tour of rooms in a  typical house. Each room is a metaphor for some aspect of the Christian life. Here are the five rooms we will be visiting:

The Family Room
This session encourages youth to look at what is special about their families and how they are in a unique position to improve their overall family vibe.

The Kitchen
The kitchen is where people feed themselves physically. This session explores how we feed ourselves spiritually. Youth will look at all the ways they feed their souls.

The Bathroom
Much of what we do in the bathroom has to do with personal appearance. Youth will learn that God created them, loves them, and considers each of them beautiful.

The Garage
A garage's contents can be valuable if they aren't junk. This session invites youth to think about the spiritual junk that clutters their lives.

The Bedroom
The bedroom is where we can shut the door and be alone. In this session, youth will learn the importance of integrity and what they do when no one is looking.

I pray you will encourage your youth to attend these sessions that will enhance their relationship with their family, their friends, themselves, and Jesus Christ. If you have any questions or concerns regarding "Room Raiders," please feel free to contact me.

Full House, the High School Wednesday night ministry is a wonderful time to connect with each other during the hectic schedule of the school week. Share a meal with one another, catch up on what’s going on in each other’s lives, and pray for one another.

Please contact Jason Robbins with any questions.

Jamaica Mission Trip
June 18-27, 2012
There will be an information meeting for both parents and youth on Sunday, November 20 at 7:35 p.m. in the Youth Room. Please attend if your youth is considering being a part of this exciting mission trip.

As we continue our Youth Ministry at Sardis, we want to make sure we are meeting the needs of the youth and their parents. One way of figuring that out is through your feedback. Please email Jason to let him know things that are going well, things that could be improved, and things you would  like to see introduced into the youth ministry at Sardis. This feedback is an excellent way to feel the pulse of our youth ministry at Sardis. Thank  you!
